No fancy background. No fancy logo. Just another damn good pour from another Athletic Brewing Pilot: Tucker’s West Coast IPA. This is as good a NA West Coast IPA as I’ve enjoyed since I stopped drinking during the debacle that was 2020.
Hazy pour. Head that clings to the glass and lasts the pint. Unbelievable flavor. Citrus and topical fruit-like notes. According to Athletic, it uses PNW hops and is hopped at 4 pounds per barrel. It’s brewed with a “simple two-row, wheat and crystal malt base elevates the hops without overpowering them and lending themselves to a dry finish.”
Tastes hoppy yet balanced. With a refreshingly smooth finish. If blindfolded, it would be tough to tell it’s NA.
Tucker’s is part of the brewery’s San Diego Pilot Program, so encourage Athletic Brewing to keep this one on tap!
