Another day another short-seasoned pilot brew from Athletic Brewing.
I love their dark beers, particularly the stouts, so while I’m not a big fan of cherry flavor I was looking forward to this Chocolate Cherry Stout sixer in their Stout Mixed Pack.
This stout didn’t disappoint. Thick head, robust winter warmer taste with hits of chocolate and, of course, a strong cherry kick. 🍒
But if you don’t like cherry, this winter brew isn’t for you. It has a lot of cherriness… like cherry Coke or NyQuil type cherry flavor.
But for me, personally, I enjoyed this pilot seasonal and will crack one occasionally on cold nights around the fire.
This is part of Athletic’s tasty Pilot Program, which means it’s a limited release, so get it while it’s hot.
As noted previously, this sixer is part of Athletic’s Stout Mixed Pack, along with a Maple Brown, All Out, and First Ride, a coffee porter that is to die for a la Smooth Ascent, the collab they did with Rising Brewing. It also helps support a good cause, Two for the Trails, so it’s literally made for taking out on the trails this year.
